Join me in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

May 31st & June 1st 2014 in Chicago, I will be a walking 39.3miles with many women and men. We walk in solidarity for mothers, fathers, grandmothers, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends & neighbors. Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade helps provide access to care for those who most need it, fund educational programs, and accelerate research into new treatments and potential cures.

During the month of September we focused on painting with black and white. I usually use two colors on a monthly basis because the aim is to get blended colors. I love when discovery sets the tone for an evening of activity.

Here I gave the children paints and asked them to use the cars to make whatever patterns they wanted. Just randomly dip the car in the paint..doesn’t matter if the white gets on the black. Very soon after painting I heard, ‘I see gray!’ That’s what fun is all about – discovering and learning along the way.
